I do somewhat agree with you, but the million-dollar number was not the conservative number. The $550 was being conservative. The Cheapest iPad was $499.. The 64GB 3G was $829. If you are right and the first buyers were indeed entirely Apple enthusiasts... it could be fair to say they did NOT buy the cheapest iPad.

If you want to put your laptop on your "lap" be prepared for the pain of metal digging into your thighs. plus, the fan will start making funny broken noises after 1 week. its very cheap and i doubt it'll last for much longer...
Apple have done more damage by releasing consistently awful headphones than any other company. They leak sound. If you're on a train or bus and you hear the tishtishtish noise of someone listening to their 16 gb apple ipod, you can be sure they've got Apple headphones. Diabolical.
