It worked well in my car because my connecter piece is on the center console, so the 27 i27 imac cover cover transmitter connecter part was vertical. However, we put it in my truck, (2011 frontier) where it was forced to connect horizontally. This is where it became useless. With every turn, the 27 i27 imac cover cover transmitter would fall out and the connection completely lost. So, unless it is facing strictly vertical, it wouldn't work.
