The sound quality is great. I am upset however that the hinge that helps lock it closed just broke. I have only been carrying this thing to the shower with me for about three weeks and this morning one of the hinges broke. It is not rugedized at all. If you plan on using this for more extreme outdoor use, don't expect it to last long.
