Be careful - this adapter can only be used with DVI-D connectors. There is a difference - you can see examples on Wikipedia - search for "Digital Visual Interface".DVI-I and/pr DVI-A connectors/cables will NOT work with this adapter.
This product works but not for long!!!! I bought two of these and just received the review email and neither one of them are working. One stopped after about two weeks and the other one stopped a couple days ago!!! These items were indeed inexpensive but still not worth the money I paid for them!!!!
