The bumper does protect the phone and it gives it a great look. I bought the pink and after a few weeks the pink turned blue/black! Yes, it looks dirty... So buy a darker color.
Ditto to Vaughn's comment above - to upgrade or not to upgrade? I'm on a G5 PPC tower, got the 190MB upgrade in Software Update. I've not really had any problems with 10.5.5, so is there any point me upgrading at all?

I've had my apple speakers for ipadbook since the summer of 2008 and it works fine. I don't keep my power supply plugged in all the time, and I think that a lot of the "lousy" reviews could have been caused by overcharging the batteries.
This is, doubtless, the best notebook I've ever had! Not only it's light and thin, but has a surprisingly long battery life (up to 7h of web browsing and using aperture and a amazing 11 HOURS with bluetooth and airport turned off). I admit that the main use for my apple speakers for ipad air is word processing at college. But sometimes I edit some photos with aperture and it shows no problem at all.
