I love the boombox for ipod but like so many other reviewers I have found that the ear phones do not live up to the Apple ad that shows the boombox for ipod being used by a jogger. I too experienced the problems of not being able to control the sound volume, skipping of songs, etc. once the ear phones got wet with perspiration. The net result is like having a very nice sports car with a lousy transmission. Apple should be ashamed of itself for misleading its customers. Bring out a ear phone that works as you advertised
In fact it might be overkill. It really depends on (A) what you plan to do with it and (B) if you want to ever upgrade it in the future.
