Won't this slow the computer down if it is maintaining these states, though? I don't see myself using this too often unless it has zero hit on performance in both Windows and OSX.

I have tried many types of mice wired, wireless, optical and not...and this one definitely takes the CHEESE. Works great with my camera bag macBook Pro and can be configured to just about any way possible. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone....works especially great when using Pages, Keynote, and Numbers.

This mouse actually only has ONE button. But it usesfinger sensors to detect if that click was a right click,left click, middle click, or a squeeze.But if you are like me, and leave your fingers on the mouse,it has a very difficult time trying to figure out whichmouse button you are trying to press.I ended up disabling the squeeze altogether because itkept getting false positives during normal mouse use. All in all, I think I will end up purchasing a Logitech mousethat has actual buttons.
Just bought one of these to replace a wired Mighty Mouse which are now out of date and were in need of overhauling. I had previously tried the Wireless Mighty Mouse and did not like it. Thought it was too clumsy.So far I am impressed. The mouse feels like quality in your hand. Easy sliding and just a firm, well built, quality to it. Using it and setting up was a total breeze.
