I was surprised to find out that the Remote does work with the Unibody dvi adapter macbookbook and dvi adapter macbookbook Pro!! Personally, I'm not used to using keyboard to execute those playback controls and this function is very useful to me as working in an office environment, as I constantly find a need to control my music when someone tries to talk to me.
