I suppose you could argue the very best sound quality earbuds would be the in-ear type...the thing is i don't want to necessarily bung up my ear canals and block out ambient sound to get there.These are great..i can command my ipad 2 hard cases touch to play what i want to hear on the move..alter the volume and skip on through the tracks with a quick click of the wire control.They really are so comfortable i forget i'm wearing them and to my mind the sound quality is not lacking at all.
