You would be good watching a movie with the batteries, But If you want to use this permanently connected for work , You'll keep plugging / unplugging / plugging. The old Component ones all had a usb plug to charge.

Do not waste your money! It is a peice of junk. Cracked easily after inserting phone and came with a scrath across the back.
