I have recently purchased this model (white) as an upgrade for my 2 year old 80 GB (Black) classic.It is true: there is a reduction in volume. The new Classic is lower than my black classic 80GB - and so far I've found no way of fixing this.This is especially a problem if your listening to older music which were mastered at lower volumes when originally released.
The actual case isnt bad at all. It looks great and works like it should. My only issue is the headphone jack being too small to fit almost all plugs without pushing really hard. But please don't waste your money and buy it for any price over $29. It retails at Apple for that price and should not be priced at nearly $50.

There are two reviews for this item. The second review said it was a Mophie item, the first said it was a knock off. The first is right. This isn't the Mophie Juice Pack air - it seems to be a fake. It may work, but don't expect Mophie to back it up.
