Why does my new Ipad think that there is headphones plugged in?

Today we had the Ipad plugged into the car radio via the headphone jack, and now that we have unplugged it, it seems to think that the headphone are still plugged in. What can i do? Any suggestions? This used to be a common problem with the iPhone.Dirt or other debris would get into the headphone socket.There are 2 basic cures:1) Blow in the headphone socked with the iPad updise down, so any debris will drop out2) Plug and un-plug a headphone jack into the connector a couple of timesIf the prob

I;m wondering because I might wanna trade in my bb bold for the iPhone .. But I wanna know if a newer iPhone I;d comming out any time soon? Most likely, iPhone is like the face of AT&T cell phones.
