Look along the inside edge, where the case folds over the iPad. Many cases, including the official Apple case for the original iPad, hold the iPad in with a piece of leather or fabric. This piece tucks in along this crease where the case folds over the device. Slide your fingers into the crease and try to grip the flap, then pull it out. This opens the pocket that holds the iPad inside. Slide the iPad out through the opening.

This case is great. It is sleek in appearance, adding very little bulk to the profile of the phone while still protecting it fully. The only annoying part is the velcro closure, I wish it was magnetic. Other than that is is an excellent case that fits my phone very well and does the job for a cheap price!

It's a snap to put on, and will protect the phone from scratches and light bumps and thumps. Although I doubt it will help much if the phone is dropped. But within less then a year, each of them failed. None of them work now.In short, these things must have some kind of design flaw, resulting in a failure after a few months. Don't waste your money. It seems that as soon as I install these (after a full charge) they only show a level of about 70-75% on my Magic Mouse or Keyboard. They also don't seem to last nearly as long as regular Energizer/Duracell type batteries. I guess that's the price you pay for saving a few bucks on disposable batteries.
