Don't think that there is something about a ipod headphone jacks that prevents viruses. Bought three. Works great on the 3G. However, two of them are for 3G S units and Mophie says they "are not supported for the 3G S". On a 3G S they shut off after a brief time once the phone is inserted. It will only wake up if you apply power to the USB port. That kinda misses the point... Great design if it would just work correctly.
Case is really well designed and manufactured. It's very gratifying to see such a well done product. This item it has a great output sound I bought this to my wife, her laptop has5.1 dolby surround and the sound is GREAT, I am ordering another one because my puppy chewed the cable so it seems even the taste is good LOL. I find that the charging capacity of this charger is so limited that it will take more than a half-hour for my iPhone to charge up enough and come back to life after the battery has been completely drained. And when I use the phone for voice conversations, the charger doesn't keep up with the battery drain.
