I bought it for 100 $ so for this price it's a great buy. The quality is ok/good, but not a Bose. I use it as a secondary in my bedroom from time to time or for podcasts while moving around the house with the speakers (they are very useful). I would not recommend them if you look for a primary device to listen to the music (though the quality is ok but as I said far from excellent). I use Bose or Sony and you hear the difference. OLD MODEL 12/31/09 Purchased this for our 13 year old for Christmas. The earphones would only work if held in place where they plugged in. Tried several pairs of earphones and had the same problem. We exchanged the ipod nano 4gb new and the new one seems to work fine so far.
