Bought this adaptor in August of this year. That means just four months have elapsed. It has sat on my desk the entire time and hasn't undergone a hint of rough treatment. My display started flickering a couple of weeks ago, and now I can't get the adaptor to work with an external display (I've tried several) at all. I got my first otterbox defender case to protect my 3G and it was expertly designed in my opinion. The new design for the iPhone4 is probably rugged enough for most people but there is one major flaw with this model that previous models addressed. There is no longer a protective fabric covering the speakers/mic at the bottom and top and the earpiece speaker is not covered. When I plug it into my ipod speaker portable it drains the power! I have plugged it in when the power is halfway full and when I check it, the ipod speaker portable is completely dead! It will not even turn on! Totally not worth it for me.:( Good luck to whoever purchases this product!

Cons: some of the time when you use it alot it will freeze, only 3 gamesOver all the ipod speaker portable nano is great. It has alot features like games and the usual things.
