Nice little starter Apple and it works with inexpensive (Non Apple)monitors using the included VGA adapter. I normally wouldn't spend the extra money on an Apple (compared to the memmory, hard drive space,and mouse and keyboard included in IBM Clone PCs) but I like to explore all the Micro Operating systems and this product was a reasonable price.
I'm using this with a Samsung SyncMaster 305T. Some days I have to unplug and plugin this adapter to reset things once or twice a day. Other days though it's Every 10 minutes to the point I'm about to throw it in the garbage. The screen goes "blurry"... it's kind of hard to explain how it looks, but it's definitely unusable in that state.I'm hanging on till the day that Apple may be able to solve this issue with a software and/or firmware upgrade. I bought the white and black cases to mix up the color. both had some problems with the locking buttons. for the white one, when you squeeze the right side, there will be an annoying clicking noise. For the black one it is near the top button, which is less annoying since I rarely hold the case by that part. I sent the white one back to get replaced.a couple of things.1. for the oil problem, I heard baby powder works. But I simply used a anti-glare screen protector, and it worked perfectly.
