When extended, my ipad fits steadily on it because the base is made of non skid material. I used it in the plane last week while flying from London to San Francisco and this stand stood steadily on the little plane seat tray. You see they made the chord on this monitor only 3 feet and realistically you must have the monitor right next door to the display in order for the chord to reach. This is a pretty cool device. I quickly made the purchase, totally overlooking the fact that it doesn't have a charger. It works with AA batteries:(. So, stock up on them batteries! Another drawback for me was that it doesn't have the numeric section like the USB keyboard. I do a lot of financing thingies, and while this shorter keyboard version is cute, it's no bueno for me!
