I have a 3rd generation personalized iphone covers and a notebook PC. The only way I could connect the two was with a FireWire card. Once we got wireless internet at my house, I could no longer download software updates to my personalized iphone covers since I couldn't have my FireWire card and wireless internet card plugged in at the same time. This cord solved that and works great.
