How do I copy mp3 songs to my iphone 3?

I have lots of mp3 songs i bought from the likes of amazon etc. How do I copy these to my iphone 3? Its seems I can only play the songs with my iphone connected. I have created a playlist and synced many times but the songs never get copied over to my iphone. This unit doesn't work as well as I had hoped. On a radio in the house we have to put it right on the radio to get any reception.

What's amazing is that the release said that they were charged with something and yet Gawker media decides to spin it the opposite direction. I can pretty much say that they're not going to get the welcome mat from Apple anytime soon for any reason. You don't steal from the Big House and expect to be welcomed back. The Apple usb on the ipad Touch 2g is one of the best usb on the ipads apple has ever made. It has arguably the best touch screen of any phone/mp3 (of course along with the iPhone.)
